The Sales Associate's Pre-Licensing course, also known as FREC I, consists of real estate principles, practices, and Florida Real Estate License Law. The course covers all the subject matter prescribed by the Florida Real Estate Commission as a prerequisite for taking the state exam. Upon successful completion of the course and passing the state exam, you will become a licensed real estate sales associate and may specialize in any of the following areas: Residential, Commercial, Property Management, Business Brokerage or Time Share. Topics covered in the course include State Law F.S. 475, Estates and Tenancies, Deeds, Contracts and much more.

This 72-hour in depth course, also known as FREC II, is required by the State of Florida in order to obtain a Broker's license. The course provides the basic knowledge for brokers to make their transition from sales associates and to conduct their business in a competent and ethical manner.

This course consists of major areas of importance to brokers such as, appraisal, finance, investment analysis, business management, completion of closing statements and opening a real estate office.

This course is required by the State of Florida before your first renewal period. It is intended to provide an opportunity to go beyond the principles and practices you've already learned to explain practical ways to approach every aspect of your new career. Topics include Agency/Brokerage, Legal Issues, Property Management, Financing, Economics, Appraisal and the Closing Process.

Every two years, all licensees, active or inactive, must complete a 14 hour continuing education course prior to each renewal period in order to maintain a real estate license in Florida. The course is offered by correspondence with an open book exam or by online distance education (see "Online Courses" section). Topics covered in the course include recent law updates, ethics, ADA and Fair Housing, advertising, financing and taxes, updated case studies and important real estate related web sites.

An intensive one day course developed to prepare candidates for the state exam. The course emphasizes information learned in the course and provides you with tips for taking the state exam. Previous students of the Florida Institute may take the review for no charge as many times as necessary.
